The trust is managed by Jean-Hugues de Lamaze and further supported by a wider team of portfolio managers and analysts who have decades of combined experience investing in infrastructure and the energy transition. Jean-Hugues has more than 30 years of investment experience managing global equity thematic strategies.

The strategy employed by the Trust aims to provide long-term capital growth and attractive dividend income for shareholders by investing in listed utilities, environmental services and other economic infrastructure sectors globally, while taking care to preserve shareholders’ capital.

The Trust targets a total return (including dividends) of 6–12% per annum over the longer term.

Why invest in Listed Infrastructure?

Much of the world's infrastructure is ageing, having not been replaced since the post-World War II investment phase. The team recognises the need for significant infrastructure investment globally, such as improved roads and electrical grids, the transition to renewable energies, and the increasing demand for electricity to power new technologies, all in line with GDP growth.

Investment approach

The team aims to identify long-term ‘winners’ across key sectors such as utilities, environmental services, and transportation, which support the demand for decarbonisation and electrification.

The team believes that investing in select, publicly listed companies across the globe enables investors to benefit from the essential forces shaping economic change.

The team approaches investments with a total return mindset, striking a balance between structural growth and income; investments have an expected DPS growth target of +5.7% per annum as well as offering a stable income profile, and tend to exhibit lower volatility than other equities, along with defensive characteristics.
